a retired schoolteacher. She wrote this book as a class project in college while a friend illustrated it. She is a widow with grown twins, a boy and a girl. She has four grandchildren whom she misses as they live in a different state. She lives in Michigan. She is actively involved in the Greater Lansing Orchid Society and is the director of Christian education at church.

Her second book, Christmas is Love was written in hopes of spreading love, joy and peace.
